PAYMENT for the conference fee and other costs

Everyone (including the invited speakers and conference organisers) have already paid for the conference fee. As we have not used a professional company to organise this event and the university does not charge VAT, we have managed to keep the costs of registration low. You will be asked to contribute to the cost of the excursions if you have selected the Warwick castle or Kenilworth castle tours.

What is Hanwha Total IUPAC Award?

Hanwha Total (formerly Samsung)-IUPAC Young Polymer Scientist Award: The Samsung Fund of the Polymer Division provides (1) support for an award, and (2) some funds for the conference organizers to help students attend the WPC. The award winner is identified by soliciting nominations from symposium chairs of younger (under age 40) scientists who will be attending the WPC. The final list of candidates should be provided shortly after the abstract deadline passes but names can be provided earlier. A committee then selects the winner, whose conference status is upgraded (if not already) to that of an invited keynote speaker. All this should be organized by the PD Awards Coordinator in communication with the PD President and the WPC Chair(s), who should be on the selection committee. The Award is presented at the WPC, either during the award session (this has been recent practice) or during the closing ceremony. There should be a plaque provided either by the conference organizers or the PD Awards Coordinator. The PD President arranges Award payment (currently USD 2,000) with the IUPAC Secretariat before the WPC.
